These workshops take you through the process of drawing and experimenting in your sketchbook. A great place to start if you are a beginner and lots to interest more experienced students.
Focusing on simple concepts and practical techniques it includes a series of connected, interesting projects and is the perfect place for an unhurried, inspirational morning creating effective drawings.

PACKAGE 1 - Workshop + lunch + bathing
A three hour sketching class followed by set lunch at the Hilltop Terrasse. Afterwards, enjoy a relaxing outdoor bathing experience in our beautiful wood-fired hot tubs and Finnish barrel sauna with hot/cold showers, towel and bathrobe to borrow and one complimentary drink served to the hot tub - a wonderful way to reward all your creative efforts.
PACKAGE 2 - Workshop + lunch
A three hour sketching class followed by set lunch at the Hilltop Terrasse.
PACKAGE 3 - Workshop only
A three hour sketching class.
Workshops start at 11am and last for approximately 3 hours with coffee and tea included. The workshops are designed to work as stand-alone classes or series of connected projects to work on across multiple sessions.
Lunch will be served after your class with bathing available afterwards (Package 1) up until 6pm.
ABOUT DEBORAH CANE, OUR WORKSHOP TUTOR
Debora is an enthusiastic art tutor with over 30 years’ experience. Following a brief pottery apprenticeship with Chris Soule, she studied ceramics at Medway College of Design and set up her own ceramics studio which she ran in Cambridge for many years. In recent years she has expanded her interests as a maker to include recycled materials; printed, stitched and dyed textiles; willow; acrylics; and pen & ink.
